Our three youngest African penguins recently left the Aquarium to join new colonies as part of our collaboration with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ Species Survival Plan to recover these endangered South African birds.
Bixby is now at San Diego Zoo
Poppy moved to the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco
and Monty is at Maryland Zoo in Baltimore!
We’ll miss their pengwinning personalities, and wish them well in their new homes!
