Philips CoralCare Gen2 LED Fixture Review from a Coral Farmer’s perspective. Feat. ACI Aquaculture

[ad_1]

Several years ago, I watched an interesting video from Bulk Reef Supply. In that video, Ryan reviewed Gen 1 of this light and he said it was the most uniform and evenly distributed he’d ever seen, and that it set the bar for LEDs. Fast forward a few years, and Gen 2 was launched and became available from my friend at CoralVue, and I’ve heard that they have addressed all of the things that people didn’t like about the 1st gen.

As a pioneer in LED technology, I have always wondered how good Philips is in applying their technology and knowledge of lights to their reef LED fixtures. When my good friend Chris Meckley from ACI Aquaculture was so convinced to start making a big switch on his coral farm, I just had to go check it out for myself.

Here is a video why Chris, a huge scale coral farmer whose livelihood depends on results and a huge metal halide and T5 guy, made the leap to LED fixtures.
