Here’s a quick photo tip from our cuttlefish for National Selfie Day 🐙🤳

Like their octopus kin, cuttlefish hide from enemies with camouflage and clouds of ink. Humans have found ways to use cuttlefish ink too. The ink of the common cuttlefish, called sepia, was once used for writing and drawing. Sepia also became the name for that very particular reddish-brown color. 

(In other news, it looks like Instagram renamed its filters, so if you’re looking for a sepia filter for your cephlie, “Hefe” and “Nashville” seem like the closest match… 😂)
