Now that we’ve reopened, the Aquarium might look a little different during your next visit. Rest assured, we’re still committed to connecting you to water, wildlife and wild places, but we’re paying particular attention on how to do it in the safest way possible. Everyone plays a part in keeping each other safe so we can all continue to explore South Carolina’s wonders.
What to Expect
- We’ve implemented online ticketing with required date and time reservations to space out guest entries. You can purchase (or members can reserve) tickets here.
- We’ve set a daily cap on guest capacity to limit any crowding from occurring.
- We’ve added hand sanitizing stations throughout the Aquarium; see a digital map of their whereabouts here.
- We’ve elevated our disinfecting efforts, including ongoing sanitization of high-touch surfaces and nightly deep cleaning.
- We’ve limited elevator access to one family at a time.
- We’ve required all of our staff to wear masks at the Aquarium.
- We’ve minimized high-touch experiences and high-traffic programming; see updates to our exhibit experiences here.
- We’ve placed signage throughout the Aquarium to help guests adhere to safety guidelines.
How You Can Help
- Monitor your health before you visit. If you feel ill or have a fever, please do not enter the Aquarium.
- Frequently wash or sanitize your hands using our stations throughout your visit.
- Practice social distancing by staying at least six feet apart from other guests during your visit.
- We encourage you to wear a mask to protect yourself and those around you.
