Whale, whale, whale—if you’re wondering what’s happening in the bay, you’ll shorely enjoy this update!
The bay is alive with baitfish (like anchovies), squid, krill and juvenile rockfish. These animals feed the larger animals—like whales and dolphins—that live in or visit the area on their migrations. So, you can expect to see a lot more cetacean action out on the water!
This is the season for mega pods of dolphins along with the visiting humpback and blue whales. Check out our Monterey Bay Cam to see what you can sea from our back deck. Maybe you’ll be lucky and catch a glimpse of one of our seasonal visitors!
