What’s going on SaltNation! Jeff here, with another salty article for your wet thumbs. Today, I want to take a look at the best saltwater fish for a nano reef tank. A few weeks ago I put together a video that takes a look at the Top 10 Nano Reef Tank Fish and it was a hit with the YouTube crowd.
When I put this list together I wanted a mix of easy to keep fish that just about anyone could find success with. When it comes to stocking nano tank with fish it’s best to keep “less is more” think about what kind of fish you want to see up close and personal. When it comes to my nano reef tanks I prefer to keep fish with a lot of personality.

Do mostly to the nano tank’s volume, less water means bad things can happen faster.

Some of the most successful nano tanks have been done this way. Although, I not familiar with the Yellow Coris Wrasse I do love the yellow clown goby and have one in my 220 gallon reef tank.
