Say hello to our little friend, the grunt sculpin!
This newest, adorable addition to our Benthic Dwellers habitat is a master of mimicry—by taking shelter in empty giant acorn barnacle shells and sticking their mottled, pointy snoots out, grunt sculpins look just like the shells’ former residents. And those tangerine-tinted tail and pectoral rays perfectly imitate barnacles’ feeding feet! We hope these fine fishy friends can scoot and wiggle their way into your hearts too 💙
