It’s true! Melibe have a sweet, citrusy smell! It’s thought the scent could help attract other slugs, or act as a predator deterrent. When it’s blustery on the bay and the Melibe are around in big numbers, you can sometimes smell their sweet waft on the wind 🌬🍉
